Reiki for your pets

If you have a pet, dog, cat, who is not well and you would like reiki for your pet. I can come to your home and share reiki with your pet. Animals can have reiki in exactly the same way as humans can. For an appointment your cat or dog could be lying on the floor near me or in the same room, or lying on the settee next to me, I could give her/him reiki with hands on if that is acceptable to the pet or hands off. Both methods work fine.

One cat I gave reiki to, the owner picked him up and put him on her knee sat next to me, then he jumped off and sat in the room and I said I will start the reiki and once I started reiki he came over to the settee and lay down on the setee behind my head and that is where I shared reiki with him, with him lying behind my head on top of the settee. Reiki is very versatile and can be shared in many ways.

Reiki can be given to your pet along side vet treatments and medication, after operations or before them. For any health problems, for stress and relaxation.

If you would like you can book to have reiki in the same appointment as your pet ie your pet first and then you such as half hour or one hour each, or one hour for you half hour for pet etc, as you wish.

Contact me to book, thanks. Sheila 07954192916

Pet and House Sitting

I am a pet sitter. I look after pets living at the pet owner’s home while they go away on trips and holidays. I love it. I love looking after the pets, cats and dogs and it gives me the chance to have a break myself and a change of scenery. On the website Trusted Housesitters, there are alsort of animals and birds, fish and reptiles as well. I have only looked after cats, dogs and fish up to now, but am open to looking after chickens which often allow you to have freshly laid eggs for breakfast. There are some lovely looking rabbits on the site which I would like to look after but I think I will have to say no to some of the reptiles and arachnids, gosh I spelt it right first time. I have met many absolutely lovely cats and 4 lovely dogs up to now. The owners are great too and very hospitable and friendly.

I remember my first pet sit in Weymouth with Nunu, she was an absolutely gorgeous cat. I went into the house and called shouted ‘Where’s Nunu?’ And she appeared on the pouffe next to me looking up at me. I stopped setting my alarm in the morning to feed her and she used to wake me up for breakfast which she had early at 7 am so then I would feed her. After giving her breakfast I would go back to bed and after eating it and going outside for 5 minutes she would come and go back to sleep on the bed with me. On an evening she would sit on the settee next to me.

Flint near Derby was great too, he used to lie next to me on the settee when I watched television on an evening in the living room as well and he enjoyed being brushed every day. It is lovely to get to know them all. When I was eating my dinner one day at the dining table, next thing I know, Flint the maine coon was sat on the chair next to me. He does like to be next to you when you are sat somewhere and is so friendly.

I go to the coast where I can go in the sea and body board if the beach has a lot of surf. I have breaks in lovely villages and city breaks. I have not been outside the UK on a pet sit yet but there are many places I would like to go abroad looking after pets. Of course it is easier to just get in my car and drive to somewhere in the UK and one abroad would take more planning with the flights to arrange. But eventually, I am sure I will look after some pets in maybe America or Canada, Italy and Switzerland, Austria and Australia.

I am enjoying looking after cats and dogs in people’s homes. It’s much better for them than being put into kennels or catteries, esp if they are not happy going to them. They can continue with their usual routines in their own homes while you go away on holiday or doing whatever you need to do and come back to a clean, tidy house and well looked after pet.

Trusted housesitters are just about all over the world, esp in UK, America and Australia and also in some countries in Europe as well.

These are some of my reviews-

‘it was obvious from photos that Nunu had bonded well with her – lying beside her on the sofa and sleeping on her bed! I returned home to find Nunu well groomed and happy and the house clean and tidy. Sheila kept in touch by text so I was able to relax while away.’ 2019 Weymouth

‘Sheila was the perfect sitter – she has a very gentle and calm demeanour which was perfect for my nervous cat Bruno – he is usually wary of strangers so I was delighted to see photos of him snuggling on her lap on the first night! We spoke on the phone before the sit and Sheila sent me updates throughout. The flat was left in pristine condition – I wouldn’t have known she had been there! We enjoyed a cup of tea together when I arrived home and I could see how happy and comfortable Bruno was around her. Sheila is a lovely lady and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her as a sitter.’ 2019 Birmingham

‘I was nervous about leaving my girls as this was the first time using Trusted Housesitters. Sheila asked lots of questions before hand and thoroughly checked my guide book, which made me feel reassured. Sheila bonded really well with girls and has been a great sitter. The girls missed her when she was gone! I had cleaned the house with a fine toothed comb before her arrival and it was left in the same condition for our return. Perfect!’ 2021 Cornwall

‘Sheila did a fine job looking after the cats ,feeding the birds etc The house was clean and tidy on my return I have no reservations in recommending her as a housesitter.’ 2021 Cornwall

‘Sheila was caring and thoughtful and my cats were obviously comfortable with her, which is really great to know, as they can be quite nervous of people. I think they were well loved while I was away. The house was left clean and tidy, and there was milk, and even strawberries left in the fridge for me on my return. I’d be happy to recommend Sheila, and would be glad to have her again.’ 2021 Droylesden
